KIMMIE

Meet our dogs kimmie

Kimmie (was Hope), is the sweetest of little dogs who has suffered immeasurably. Whilst in Romania she was rounded up as a stray and taken to a shelter. At 10 years plus, in pup and with only three legs, she was left in a pen with other dogs, some of whom were aggressive and overnight she was attacked and the skin was ripped off her shoulder. She was rescued from the shelter by a very kind lady named Carmen, a friend of Mandy Hooker NGR and Northampton Homes for Hounds. Carmen nursed her back to health, though at one point her life hung very much in the balance, she had to have an emergency spay, she was too poorly to have pups, then the wound became infected and the stitches broke down and she stopped eating but then this amazing little dog started to turn the corner much to the relief of Carmen and everyone else who were praying for her. A home needed to be secured for her here in the UK before she would be allowed to leave Romanian and so when Mandy asked us to help there could only be one answer. She could not travel until she was well enough and had had all her injections. She arrived in this country on 18th August 2016 and arrived here on the 20th August. Kimmie is a dream and I cannot believe how well and how fast she settled here. I was a little concerned that after her horrific ordeal of being attacked by other dogs that maybe she would be frightened but thankfully she is not. She is an amazing and wonderful little dog and I am so glad that she is with us, she is now enjoying the best life that we can possibly give her.
